let it grow
Holy smokes, it's 2020.
Why are we still cutting down trees, just to place them in a room, and toss them out after a few weeks?
CIRCLE THAT
SAYS:
Christmas.. a time signifying abundance and gratefulness yet is marked by overconsumption and throwaway attitudes. And what is more representative of this mentality than the iconic Christmas tree? Once embraced in the corner of our livingrooms, it quickly gets tossed out when the holidays are over and the once so loving element is no longer our problem. Last year 50 000 trees were thrown away in Utrecht alone.
THE BIG
IDEA:
Circle That mobilised at least 1000 Utrechters to get a plantable Christmas tree.
Replantable? Yes, not a cutdown one, but a tree with a clod. This tree will be returned or collected after the holidays, so that the tree can be returned where it belongs:
in the ground in nature. #letitgrow
