Let it Grow, Let it Grow, Let it Grow
We are used to single-use everything: cups, masks, straws and even... trees. Especially Christmas is usually marked by overconsumption and throwaway attitudes. It doesn’t have to be. JOIN TOGETHER and be ONE out of 1000 Utrechters who get a potted tree that’s ready to be returned back to soil after the holiday season - in true circular fashion.
For the past year, our community closet was the place to sell your unused clothing items and shop for second-hand fashion.
The average person in the Netherlands has around 20 unused clothing pieces in their closet - crazy if you think about the money, resources, and work that went into each item. That’s why we wanted to create a place where we could collectively use what we already own, by circulating your unused clothing you unlock their value for yourself and others.

Circle That’s Festivalletjes are focused on showcasing circularity in action and using this to connect like minded people. While the festivalletjes are a continuous event series, every event is unique due to changing stands and partners. From a rescued food market or buffet, a flea market, a planting station, or second hand clothing to art upcycling, DJs or live music, everything finds a stage.

To the food waste warriors
For the past year, Circle That has made it their mission to tackle food waste by rescuing surplus food from local shops and supermarkets. The best part is, the food is still perfectly good to eat, which is why we are frequently transforming our iconic window at Domplein into a Drive-Thru. You are invited to come by and pick up food for yourself, your friends, neighbours and family.

The Green Screen is an event series that showcases sustainability & circularity related movies in Utrecht. At Circle That we believe that visual storytelling and movies have the power to create the desire for change. All screenings take place at one of Utrecht’s sustainable hotspots. The evening will be rounded off with drinks & discussion rounds on the movie and how it connects to the circular transition.
